Property Description
Welcome to the Wolfson Mansion, a 1938 San Marco landmark, ready for its next chapter. Designed by Hopkins & Huddleston and built for civic leader and philanthropist Morris Wolfson, this estate is one of San Marco's most distinctive historic homes. It sits on a half-acre corner at Laurel Road and Marco Place. The original character is remarkably intact: a sweeping barrel-tile roofline, polychrome tile and cast stone window surrounds, and a Moorish-inspired entry. Inside, a grand foyer and winding staircase open to formal living and dining rooms, a wood-paneled study and a light-filled sunroom. There are five bedrooms in roughly 5,400 square feet. Bring your vision. The home is ready for renovation, and the oversized lot has room to create a private resort setting with a pool, gardens and a new garage. Restored, it becomes a legacy residence, moments from San Marco Square and the St. Johns River.
